Cross Validated is a question and answer site for statisticians, data analysts, data miners and data visualization experts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

In my thesis I've used several experimental designs, most of them "central composite designs" with 3 variables and 20 runs (6 times central point + 8 points on the "cube corners" + 6 points on the axis).

The experiments have been planned and analyzed with the software JMP 7, which creates quite lengthy reports and for each of my 5 DoE 's I have about 20 Y-values.

In the chapter "results" of my thesis, I'm showing graphs similar to those here enter image description here

and of course the significant interactions.

I wonder which additional data I should provide in the annex for the reader.

For sure, I'll add:

  • "raw data" (the table with values which the response surface design was calculated with)
  • the parameter estimator for each linear and quadratic effect as well as the "p"-value for the significance.

I'm not an expert in statistics, so I wonder which other data describing the models would be necessary or helpful to properly document my work. Can anybody help, please?
