Cross Validated is a question and answer site for statisticians, data analysts, data miners and data visualization experts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a dataset and i have reduced it using PCA, but once i reduce the dimension of the dataset, i lose all my uniqe columns in the data. Which i think is what should happen. But i want to run gower similarity on this and dont know how to run this using SPSS. I have looked at the macro online but cannot run it.

Anyone has any idea on how to run similarity measures for data with different kind of data. I am new to this and LOST :(

Sorry, your question is pitch-dark. What are "unique columns" you grieve for? On what "this" you're going to run Gower similarity calculation? How can PCA ever leave you different types of scales (nominal, ordinal, etc.) to justify computation of the Gower? Was that this macro found on my web-page that you failed to cope with? – ttnphns Jul 24 '12 at 20:14
@ttnphns, you have such a great style :-) – rolando2 Jul 24 '12 at 22:06
