I have a dataset from a 7-point likert scale scores of 30 questions asked to 145 individuals. I would like to know if I can use MRPP on the entire dataset to test for difference between different groups (gender, age class,etc). I would like to ask questions on the entire dataset and not only on specific questions.

Usually, Likert-type items are used to form a Likert scale (e.g., by summing all individual responses) allowing to scale individual differences. Are you in a situation where a sum score wouldn't make sense (because questions address different constructs, or things like that)? – chl♦ Aug 13 '12 at 20:45
