Cross Validated is a question and answer site for statisticians, data analysts, data miners and data visualization experts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Can you suggest me a program (app) to make a draw of a 3D pyramid, as shown in Figure 2 and Figure 3 in this paper (paper)? I need to make something similar to this, and I am not sure how they made it. I am sure that some of you here might have used those kinds of app very often, so went here to ask for advice. Thanks.

This has nothing to do with statistics or data visualization, so it is off-topic on this site. I'm trying to find a better place for this question on Stack Exchange and will come back to you shortly. – chl Oct 28 '12 at 8:29
I bet this is some LaTeX's write-to-draw extension like PSTricks or PGF/TikZ, so you're gonna be disappointed. – mbq Oct 28 '12 at 11:10
I agree with @chl about this not being a statistics or data vis. question; I suggest StackOverflow, but maybe some other place on SE is even better. – Peter Flom Oct 28 '12 at 12:19
After consultation with the moderators of other sites, it appears that this question doesn't fit well with QA standards and you probably won't get anything but pointers to vector drawing programs. What about Illustrator or Inkscape (free)? (LaTeX, Metapost or Asymptote would be of the best effect, but that may require more effort on your part.) – chl Oct 28 '12 at 13:23
