# Points Advantage to Total Points in Percents to Meeting Win Probability

I playing with my friend long time in 8pool billiards and saving results to excel spreadsheet.

Data looks that for every meeting i have result, for example 4-2.

Basic on that data consolidated i'm calculating Games_Advantage/Games_Overall, that gives me how big part frames advantage are total played frames, for example when consolidated game points will be equal then value will be 0%, when i will be loosing then will be under 0%, otherwise when all frames will be on my side then 100%.

How to convert that value to percentage of winning 6 games (frames) meeting?. 1 Hour meeting is in average 6 games, i want to know what percentage of winning or not loosing (including tie) i have.

Does everyone know exactly how the scoring system works? If not, try explaining it or at least give a link to a site which does explain the scoring system. –  Douglas Zare Nov 19 '12 at 4:41
@Douglas Zare: Scoring system is simple, maybe i'm complicated with words, you play game (frame, that is same). While 1 hour meeting you will have time to play around 6 games, then result can be 6-0, 5-1, 4-2, 3-3, 2-4, 1-5, 0-6. Having that database how to calculate percentage of winning 1hour meetings (6 games, next meeting) –  Svisstack Nov 20 '12 at 0:06
Do you always take exactly 10 minutes for each game? I think not, and whether you only have time for 5 games or have time for 7 might depend on how the games have gone. Do you decide who breaks based on who won the last game? When I played we usually did. These may seem so obvious to you that they aren't worth mentioning but they affect the analysis significantly (from my perspective). If you don't want to consider these, then you are probably looking for something like a binomial distribution with an unknown probability $p$. Good luck. –  Douglas Zare Nov 20 '12 at 5:28
