+1 for Friedman test, I use it often with the Nemenyi post-hoc test and plot it as critical distance diagram. (I have an R script for this, I'm searching for it right now)

Nevermind, I just got it. For $df = 1$, the Chi-squared distribution is the same as a single squared normal distributed variable, hence the equality. I really should read up more on statistics ;)
