How best to represent a web app's usage? I can find out the % of members who completed a task but only at present time, not over a period - so this is not concerned by my question. I want the data to show everyone (team and members) how we're doing (is it successful or not, if not where is the problem) and the relations between data. Basic question: which data am I supposed to put together in the same graph ? |

How to differentiate hype from word of mouth in Google Trends? Can't add images to the question so here it is i.stack.imgur.com/pYHRS.gif and what I was wondering is if I'm making a correct assumption. |

How to differentiate hype from word of mouth in Google Trends? Rather sure and unsure, trend or fad. Isn't it what all brokers want to know ? |

How to differentiate hype from word of mouth in Google Trends? Well, if we consider that Google Trends shows popularity (I should have said that instead of growth), then for the iPhone we can see the general aspect of the curve, the popularity is slowly but surely increasing, this I believe is word of mouth. While huge spikes correspond to announcements etc they are hypes and don't reflect true popularity. @whuber |
