comment When correlation coefficient's value rises, error rises as well. Is this normal behaviour?
@whuber: uhm, yeah obviously you're right.. how could I be so blind? I think I got carried away by the fact they all take values within the same range. Quite silly and embarrassing question that was. So should I delete it? :/ oh, wait... what if C=D, still same thing?

@AdamO: yes, X is a continuous variable. I just wonder whether, since it takes values within a certain range, that would give us any insight regarding the quality of estimation. I mean, if we have and RMSE of 2 for the range [-2,2] is quite different from having the same RMSE for [-100,100], no?
