Statistical tests for low sample numbers in both indendent groups (n=3 and n=1) @peter: I can't make an assumption about a given protein's quantification being normally distributed across channels 1,2, and 3 with my data alone, but I might be able to confirm this from other/previous research datasets. Would that be reasonable? Otherwise, is there anything I can do with this? |

Statistical tests for low sample numbers in both indendent groups (n=3 and n=1) Having re-read after a lunch break, I realized the question wasn't very clear as far as the explanation of the experimental design was concerned. I've edited and added quite a bit for clarification. Hope it helps. |

Statistical tests for low sample numbers in both indendent groups (n=3 and n=1) typos and corrected ratio forumla to use channels instead of groups and channels so it's more clear |

combining p-values for averaging technical protein quantification replicates in python @whuber, sorry the 1 was a typo, and the replacement (2) was a misreading of the formula for fisher's method. DF should be 2k where k is the number of tests combined (in my case 2), so it should be 4 |
