But I wonder to what extent your thinking is restricted to massive datasets. Take, for example, Yates’s experiment on oat yields - a classic split-plot experiment with 72 observations total. If I were to ask you to assess how the three varieties differ, or the effect of nitrogen, how would you approach it that would differ from what Yates did? I know this is a old example, but there are still people doing experiments not unlike this one, in agriculture, social science, ... | |
