Jul 17, 2021 at 7:29 comment added Kozolovska I detailed the answer. We are trying to find the cumulative distribution of $Y_i$, $t$ is just a constant. We're asking what is the probability that the minimum of $p$ exponential i.i.d variables will be less than some number $t$. It cannot follow a geometric distribution since it is discrete and exponential distribution is continuous therefore the minimum of it will also be continuous.
