Given two sets or more of gene names (ie: "PAX9", "CDKN2","MSX1", etc) I would like a simple method to determine which sets are more similar to each other as well as their statistical significance of the overlapping. I wish to implement this in R. Each set is a sample from the same defined universe of genes.

  • $\begingroup$ The length is unimportant, I just want to know if the sets contain the same genes in an statically significant manner. $\endgroup$ – Edu Sep 15 '16 at 6:58
