During ensemble voting, it is possible for a tie to occur when there is an equal number of votes for the majority class, or when there is no majority class because each of the individual classifiers produced a unique label for their prediction. What are some of the ways in which a tie can be resolved?

  • $\begingroup$ Perhaps class probabilities could be used to select one class over another. Using an odd number of classifiers in the ensemble can mitigate situations where a tie would occur. $\endgroup$ – Ch4mb3rs Sep 24 '18 at 16:49
