I have a rather basic question on process mining that I however hardly get answered: currently, I do some research on regulated learning in educational/psychological research: I already drew up two process models with the process discovery algorithm bupaR. I aim at statistically comparing both models against each other to reveal differences between them because a) the first model regalates to regulating motivational problems, b) the second one the regulation of knowledge based problems. Since there are no models yet telling how regulation of problems should look like (no normative model), I do not know if I usually had to conduct conformance mining now or if I only can compare the frequencies of occurred codes/events in my models. The two models did I generate on basis of process data where I told the participants to regulate both problems. By my design I managed that each participant was in each of the two conditions.
