I have an input variable[x] which is continuous and another output variable[y] which is categorical with two categories[Good, Bad].

I am wondering if there is a scientific way to find the split points for the input variable X which decides if the outcome is Good or Bad.

$\begingroup$ With two categories you can start with a logistic regression of $y$ regressed on $x$. Maybe you can show us some plots? and tell us the purpose of your analysis? $\endgroup$ – kjetil b halvorsen Jan 11 at 19:33
