I need to test if a treatment has taken effect in a certain group of patients for which I make a measurement of the relevant variables before doing the treatment and afterwards.

Usually, I would do a paired t-student test when I have a variable but in this case the measurements consist of a matrix of values. How could I check if the treatment has had an effect by checking the matrix before and after? Should I do a paired t-test for each value of the matrix independently and obtain a matrix of p-values? In this case, how could I determine that the treatment has taken effect if I have multiple p-values?
