# Derivative of a particular cross entropy loss function [duplicate]

Suppose I have $$E=-y\ log(y')$$ and $$y'=softmax(Vs)$$.

How to compute $$\partial E/\partial V$$?

I proceed as follows: $$\partial E/\partial V=\partial E/\partial y'\ \partial y'/\partial (Vs)\ \partial (Vs)/\partial V$$

$$=\frac{-y}{y'} \cdot (\mathrm{a\ matrix\ in\ terms\ of\ softmax}) \cdot s^T$$

I cannot obtain the result shown there.
