this might be a really intro question,

But if I have two dataframes like:

df_1 =
   A B C D
1 q 1.03 12 4
2 q 1.20 12 7
3 r 1.02 15 6

df_2 =
   E F G H
1 q 1.05 13 4
2 q 1.10 13 6
3 r 1.08 14 6

And want to fuzzy match df_1 and df_2, where A corresponds to E, B to F, C to G, and D to H. What would be the best way to develop a "closeness" score between the corresponding columns, then a overarching score between the rows?

Say a score between 0 and 1 where 1 is an exact match.

so an output table something like:

     A_E B_F C_G D_H Net
1_1 1 0.99 0.9 1 0.89
1_2 1 0.87 0.9 0.6 0.47
...
3_2 0 0.95 0.8 1 0
3_3 1 0.97 0.9 1 0.79

What would be the name for this type of matching?

Note that A_E is boolean.

Thanks in advance!
