During the EFA, I have Tucker Lewis Index of factoring reliability higher than 0.93, RMSEA index at 0.08, and CFI at 0.95 while my RMSR is 0.16.

How come my CFI is acceptable while RMSR is unacceptable (above 0.05 threshold)? Do these residuals indicate that my extraction is not good enough?

My data is likert based. I have around 320 observations with 45 variables. I used oblimin with minres and covariance matrix.

I use R psych package and I using the fa function like this:

fa(mydata ,nfactors = 5,rotate = "oblimin", covar = T)
