I ran a regular OLS regression and wanted to check if the assumptions for OLS regression was meet. To do this I plotted a scale location plot, but I'm struggeling with the interpretation of the result. The assumption of homoscedasticity seem to be violated, but I don't understand how I should intepret the lines formed by the residuals in the plot. Are there other issues in addition to the violation of homoscedasticity?enter image description here

  • $\begingroup$ OLS is likely inappropriate for your data, which have a discrete response with a small number of distinct values. You should therefore be thinking about what a suitable regression model would be. $\endgroup$
