My study design is quasi-experimental. Basically, I am trying to explore the effect of an intervention on two groups of participants (control vs. experiment) over two times (pre- and post-test), and the effect of this intervention on a dependent variable. Is it possible to run repeated measures ANOVA in my case? If yes, which post hoc test to apply?

  • $\begingroup$ Your design is paired since you measure the participants before and after the treatment. You can analyse it with a regression model of Y_post on Y_pre and treatment, possibly with an interaction between Y_pre and treatment. The fitted model can estimate comparisons between control and treatment effects. $\endgroup$
