In mathematics, there are branches such as algebra, analysis, topology, ... In machine learning there is supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning. Under each of these, there are finer categories that further divide the field. 

 However, I am having trouble drawing a parallel in statistics. What would be the main branches of statistics (and sub-branches)? A perfect partition is likely not possible, but anything is better than a big blank map :).
