This introduction is kept a bit vague by purpose. I would say that I am a scientist. I did study one of the "hard" science. I got a Ph.D. and a postdoc. I published several papers (is this sufficient to define myself as a scientist?). My first experiences with coding were on a 286 with Turbo Pascal, at school. I liked it immensely. Unfortunately, at that time, coding was not much a thing and I ended up studying it much later (it was not my main subject also, not at the high school not at the university). Since then I picked up C/C++, python, and a bunch of other things in Linux. I am rational, a skeptic, and I always share the current opinion in science about all the topics (science is not a supermarket where you can pick up what you want, you take it all or you don't). With my job I hope to help people. In particular, I am still in science and I try to fight one of the worst illnesses that humanity knows. I am a Nerd (not a geek) a tech enthusiast and a trekker.
