Learn moreI'm a statistical consultant. I own a boutique statistical consulting firm that consults with businesses, universities, hospitals, individual researchers, and federal agencies. My areas of interest and specialty include complex survey sampling, longitudinal data analysis, missing data and imputation, causal inference, and application of machine learning in these statistical sub-specialties.
Also, I am completely abhorred by the behavior of Stack Exchange in firing Monica Cellio, and demand SE must reinstate and apologize to Monica Cellio. I am a member of the LGBT community and am completely baffled at how her questions or behavior could in any way be construed as intolerant or hurtful toward the LGBT community. SE has apparently chosen to speak out of both sides of its mouth by claiming to introduce policies of tolerance and then immediately firing Monica for expressing a different viewpoint and questioning the specifics of how a tolerance policy would be implemented. Sadly identity politics has taken control over the United States and other countries, and sadly this has bled over to SE itself, resulting in scores of the best moderators leaving the site, being fired, or resigning. Enough is enough. Reinstate Monica. Do away with identity politics.
