Apr 29, 2011 at 4:59 comment added user4389 If X's (independent variables) are measured variables, then it is a "random variable" instead of a "fixed value". According to Wikipedia (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Random_variable): "In probability and statistics, a random variable or stochastic variable is, roughly speaking, a variable whose value results from a measurement on some type of random process." Am I correct?
