I would've liked data on 4-∞, but I just modified a variable into an indicator of the times collaborated on a specific field. It's all quite hard to explain, next time I will try to articulate my questions in a more clear manner. Thanks everybody you've sure enlightened me on this topic!

Feb 25, 2015 at 17:39 | comment | added | whuber♦ | The "interval" answer conflicts with Stevens' original definition of interval scales: differences must have invariant meanings. Should the difference between "0" and "1" mean the same, and have the same effect in a model, as the difference between "1" and "2"? At best there is no way to tell from the information given, so asserting that "interval is acceptable" could be misleading.
