I'm still confused because some of the phrases seem inconsistent (the "don't" looks particularly out of place) and much of the answer has no clear connection with the question: how is "distance-matrix" related to the covariance matrix of PCA? Does "NMDS" refer to non-metric MDS and if so, what does that have to do with PCA? It seems like you're taking a completely different approach. This is fine, but it would help to explain where you're coming from and why it's applicable. | |
