This is a stupid question as I'm approaching to latent class model for the first time. Reading some applications, I can't understand one basic thing. In modelling latent class the respondent have one choice between some mutually exclusive alternative, or the respondents have different choice situation and, within choice situation, he chooses between one of the possible alternative?
