Mar 23, 2016 at 15:30 comment added Mike Dunlavey +1 Thanks for pointing that out about using Gamma to form a Beta distribution. I've heard that if you want to generalize the Beta into a Dirichlet, you simply put more Gammas in the denominator. Maybe a statistician just knows that, but to me that was really useful when looking at confidence intervals of a categorical observation.
