May 12, 2017 at 17:46 | comment | added | lanselibai | @Reid because I do not know how to separate them. i.e. I do not know how to classify the X or Y into smaller groups. So I want to "automatically" group them.
May 12, 2017 at 17:44 | comment | added | lanselibai | @AdamO The X is protein properties. e.g. X=(charge, hydrophobicity, beta-sheet propensity, ...); The Y is formulation dosage that could stabilise it, e.g. Y=(pH, ionic strength, sugar, NaCl concentration, etc.)
May 12, 2017 at 12:55 | comment | added | Jacob Socolar | You might look into latent variable models (aka "joint models"). See this paper, for example: cell.com/trends/ecology-evolution/abstract/…
May 11, 2017 at 19:54 | comment | added | Reid | What's the goal of modeling all of your outcome variables at once? Why not model them separately with one model per outcome?
May 11, 2017 at 15:09 | comment | added | AdamO | @lanselibai I see so does each row of data corresponds to a single "dose" of medication which we can otherwise assume to be independent from other rows? Or are these data in a "wide" format with each row an individual and $X_1$ is a first dose, $X_2$ is a second dose, and so on with $Y_1$ a protein concentration after a period of time from first dose, $Y_2$ concentration after a period of time from second dose, etc.?
May 11, 2017 at 9:37 | comment | added | lanselibai | @AdamO I was trying to model protein properties to the excipients components in final drug dosage formulation. One particular protein may have multiple dosage forms that can stabilise it.
