Consistent with that, academia, the Bush administration and the Obama administration did significant work on understanding and reducing threats from biologic and nuclear weapons. In contrast, it's hard to see any significant nexus between Trump's attempted travel ban and the tail risk one is concerned about. | |

Historically almost no-one has died at the hands of refugees in terror attacks but both americans and legal immigrants have committed large acts of terror. Maybe the risk of large attacks by refugees is something to worry about but there is no historic basis for targeting them specifically as the public seems to assume. | |
