Useful post. Am also working on solving a similar problem. Can I check why do the lifetimes package consider Average revenue instead of Total revenue? I see for M metric in RFM analysis, they only consider average revenue. why not Total revenue of each customer? Wouldn't that be more useful? how does taking average of revenue help?
