I think they take me 3-4 times longer to figure out than standard boxplots. The R defaults are much better (although the lines on the ends of the tails are unnecessary). Traditional boxplots have the added advantage that they can represent sample size (with width), and standard deviations (with notches). | |

All four of his books are good though, and if you have an opportunity to attend one of his courses, do it. | |
