The numbers assigned to specific events ($e$, $\pi$, and $7$), and (what I presume is) the cumulative probability on the left. So in your case, for example, could I think of the RVs as the triples ("head-head/tails-tails", $\pi$, $p=0.5$), ("head-tails",$e$, $p=0.25$), and ("tails-head",$7$, $p=0.25$). So in a sense the RV maps an event to a probability through the intermediary of a numeric value assigned to the event? | |
